Merry Christmas!

Kitsch Christmas

Hello!  I'm sharing a card using the newest Avery Elle release that is all about the holidays!
  Avery Elle
I decided to go a bit "vintage" with todays card.  I found a gorgeous vintage holiday card (see below) that I used as inspiration mainly because I wanted to use these darling bells from the new set called Kitsch Christmas.

I started by using the new Falling Snow Elle-ments from Avery Elle as my background.  I impressed the snow die about 4 times into my Tumbled Glass Distress Ink'd notecard. I gold heat embossed my bells and added color with Copics.  Adding my bells similar to the inspiration photo, I also added the greenery sprigs to my layout too.  The sentiment was gold heat embossed onto a banner from Pierced Banner Layers Elle-ments and layered under the bells.

Wednesday Sketch Challenge -- Sketch 295

Sketch295

Hello!  Welcome to the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  I am so excited to be back as the August Guest Designer!  It's always such an honor to craft along with MFT and the DT!  ♥

Let me just start by saying, I've been having a BLAST with this release of adorable coloring images!  The Magical Dragons stamp set and coordinating Magical Dragons Die-namics is just a phenomenal set.  Blueprints 13 and Die-namics Essential Cover Up Vertical played a huge part for the various stitched pieces in the sketch.  My images were all Copic colored (I keep trying to get the shading down......it's coming along!) and die cut with the coordinating dies.  The base cardstocks are Gumdrop Green and Sno Cone which are 2 of my favorites from MFT.

SugarPea Designs--August Sweet Peek Day 3

Fall Fox

Hello!  I am excited to share some of the projects I've been working on for the brand new release for SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets, matching dies, and even a new paper product.......there's something you are sure to love!  The entire August Product Release will be available starting Friday, Augst 26th at 6pm EST in the SPD Store.

With this adorable Fall Fox stamp set and coordinating Fall Fox Dies, I wanted the images to really stand out.  I went with an all white background but to give it some texture, I impressed the new Harlequin Cover Plate into my white top folding notecard.  My Fall Fox images were Copic colored and die cut.  They were adhered with foam adhesive to a stamped Stitched Flag across my white panel.

SugarPea Designs--August Sweet Peek Day 2

Lovely Leaves

Today's share is using the new Lovely Leaves stamp set.  It has a set of coordinating dies as well but for this card, I went with a more traditional layout to show off the leaves, color, and that fabulous sentiment!  I trimmed a white panel of cardstock and die cut a standard size circle.  This circle provides several uses.....one being, it shows right where you need to stamp the sentiment.  I saved the circle piece that was diecut out and after stamping my sentiment, I placed it back into the circle to stamp all of my leaves which helped with placement.  My panel was adhered with SugarPuff foam for dimension and a few Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added to finish.

SugarPea Designs--August Sweet Peek Day 1

Farmscape

Hello!  I am excited to share some of the projects I've been working on for the brand new fall release for SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets, matching dies, and even a new paper product.......there's something you are sure to love!  The entire August Product Release will be available starting Friday, August 26th at 6pm EST in the SPD Store.

I hope you'll join me here over the next 5 days as I share Sweet Peeks for the 12 NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, August 26th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

I had so much fun with my first project........it uses the new FarmScape die.  I die cut it out of white cardstock, added some color with Copics, and added some extra diecut pieces (included with the die--like the barn trim, fence, tires, etc).  My scene was assembled and adhered to a Stitched Flag that was sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  My sentiments, from Barn to be Wild, were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Some tiny cloud dies, from Whatever the Weather, were added to the sky.  A bit of burlap twine was tied around my Stitched Flag and then the flag was adhered with foam adhesive to a top folding notecard that was layered with the red gingham paper from the new Countryside Charm paper pad.

Best of Cluck
My second project is a card that already is set aside for my neighbor for her birthday.  She has chickens and loves them (and is a good egg.....LOL!)  Using the chicken wire pattern paper from Countryside Charm, I trimmed off a section and layered it onto a piece of dark grey cardstock that was adhered to a top folding notecard.  For my scene, I used a rectangle from Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles in light blue and added a bottom section of green.  All of my chicken images are from the new set.....Best of Cluck and were colored with Copics and die cut with the coordinating Best of Cluck dies.  My rectangle scene was adhered with SugarPuff Foam Sheets.

Wednesday Sketch Challenge -- Sketch 294

Sketch294

Hello!  Welcome to the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  I am so excited to be back as the August Guest Designer!  It's always such an honor to craft along with MFT and the DT!  ♥

I took a few liberties with this week's sketch but I think you can still see it in there!   Sketches are made to be a starting point so just use it and see where it takes you!

I started with a white top folding notecard.  I added a piece of Gravel Gray cardstock that had been cut with the rectangle from Blueprints 13.  To this panel, I also added a trimmed piece of purple Thick & Thin pattern paper that was also done with the rectangle die to add the stitching.  I stamped the fence, from Frightful Friends, in a gray ink for a tone on tone look and added some white pigment ink sponging in the background.  A Grassy Border edge (in Gumdrop Green cardstock) was added to cover up where the pattern paper ended.  My spooky image (colored with Copics) was added as the vertical "rectangle" in the sketch with foam adhesive.  My sentiment was white heat embossed onto a small banner die from Blueprints 13.  As a final touch, I added a few die cut bats to the sky.
